Despite significant investments in software development, testing remains one of the most challenging and resource-draining phases in the software lifecycle. Traditional software testing—whether manual or automated through legacy tools—remains a costly, time-intensive bottleneck in software development. Research indicates that up to 25% of IT budgets are allocated to quality assurance and testing.
To address these challenges, UiPath has introduced UiPath Test Cloud at the Agentic AI Summit 2025.
At the core is agentic testing that pairs human testers with AI-driven agents to streamline testing workflows. Key components of the solution include:
- Autopilot for Testers: An out-of-the-box AI agent that facilitates agentic test design, automation, and management, drastically reducing manual testing efforts.
- Agent Builder: A toolkit that allows teams to create custom AI agents tailored to their unique testing needs, offering flexibility in test automation
Organizations using Test Cloud have reported notable improvements, such as a 36% increase in test efficiency, a 50% reduction in production outages, and a 93% faster troubleshooting process.
In one notable case, Cisco has halved its manual testing efforts by leveraging Autopilot, demonstrating the effectiveness of the platform.
Gerd Weishaar, General Manager and Senior Vice President of Testing Products at UiPath, commented, “Agentic testing represents a groundbreaking shift for companies looking to modernize a traditionally manual and time-intensive process. With Test Cloud, testing teams can collaborate interactively with AI agents, working in tandem to optimize the testing lifecycle.”
He added, “Traditional testing has long been recognized as a major bottleneck for CIOs and CTOs, hindering the rapid delivery of new innovations. By adopting agentic testing with Test Cloud, companies can speed up time-to-market, improve production stability, and enhance customer satisfaction, ultimately boosting revenue.”
