Maitha Alnuaimi is the Director of the GIS Center Department at Dubai Municipality, where she leads geospatial innovation, digital transformation, and data analytics to drive city planning and smart-city initiatives.
With 12 years of experience in GIS and data and six years in AI and machine learning, she is recognised globally for her contributions to the geospatial field. She was named among the Top 50 GIS Rising Stars in the world. Her work spans digital twins, advanced mapping, and strategic geospatial applications that shape resilient, data-driven urban ecosystems.
She holds an Executive Master in Big Data and Business Analytics from ESCP Business School. She earned a Master of Science in City Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology, focusing on smart cities and urban analytics. Earlier, she completed a Diploma in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Oxford. Her academic foundation began with a bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the United Arab Emirates University.
