Before becoming the Minister of State and Secretary General of the UAE Cabinet, Her Excellency Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi held the position of the Executive Director of the Government Performance Sector at the Minister’s Office – UAE.
As the Secretary General, Al Hammadi has been striving to accelerate the unit’s work in supporting the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs’ functions. Her responsibilities include drafting federal laws, coordinating among several government authorities, outlining the annual general budget, preparing Cabinet meeting agendas, and issuing regulations. In 2023, under her efforts to implement the yearly legislative plan, the Federal Government enacted over 73 federal laws in the financial, banking, education, health, and government regulatory sectors.
