Omran Alshamsi is the Chief AI Officer at the UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, leading efforts to embed AI into national labor systems. His work focuses on harnessing AI to enhance workforce planning, streamline services, and support evidence-based policymaking. Prior to this, he held key roles in data governance at the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi and systems development at the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources. With over six years of experience in public sector innovation, Alshamsi deeply understands how emerging technologies can drive operational efficiency and long-term economic resilience. His leadership reflects a strong commitment to modernizing government infrastructure through responsible AI adoption and data-led transformation.
