Joe Devassy has over 30 years of experience in the Middle East and Africa’s tech sector, including leadership roles at Microsoft, Nokia, and Digital Equipment Corporation. A techno-commercial strategist with a deep focus on AI, Joe leads KPMG’s Generative AI initiatives with technology vendors in the UAE and Oman, translating innovation into real-world solutions. As one of KPMG’s lead AI ambassadors, he drives strategic partnerships with major tech firms such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, and ServiceNow.
Devassy played a pivotal role in launching the UAE Generative AI Center of Excellence in partnership with Microsoft and developing KPMG’s first internal GenAI tool, KITE. He also champions internal AI adoption, including Microsoft Copilot, and contributes to AI thought leadership locally and globally.
