Meta employees will soon be conversing with their CEO, reaching thousands more than now. How? Through an AI persona. The social media leader is experimenting to create a photorealistic, conversational avatar of its chief executive, which, while still in early stages, is being prioritized as a part of Meta’s broader push into advanced interfaces.

Nvidia Unveils Ising for Quantum Computing
On Tuesday, chipmaker giant Nvidia unveiled a new breed of AI models- Ising, the world’s first family of open source quantum AI models. Different from existing models such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, Ising will serve a different purpose- being the “operating system” for the next generation of supercomputers: quantum processors. Just as ChatGPT predicts the next word in a sentence, Ising will predict and fix errors in a quantum processor.
Perplexity AI Reports a 5x Revenue
Perplexity AI has grown revenue from $100 million to $500 million while increasing staff by just 34%. The surge is driven by its “Computer” product, a Mac mini-based AI system that runs continuously and integrates local files, apps and multiple models for research, coding and task execution. The company plans to double revenue again in 2026 while keeping its team lean.
KSA Leads Security, Privacy, and Cryptography in AI
Saudi Arabia leads in AI security, privacy, and cryptography, according to the 2026 AI Index Report by Stanford HAI. The kingdom also ranks first globally in female representation among AI inventors and authors at 32.3%, ahead of Australia at 30.15% and Canada at 29.6%.
Dubai Launches AI Training for Government Staff
Digital Dubai has launched the AI Workforce Transformation Program, or AI+, to train all 50,000 Dubai government employees in AI skills and applications. The initiative is structured around five learning tracks tailored to different employee groups, from frontline staff to senior leadership.

Morocco Signs $1.2B AI Data Center Deal
Morocco has signed an agreement with Nexus Core Systems to develop the Nexus AI Factory Platform, a large-scale AI infrastructure project announced at GITEX Africa 2026 in Marrakech. Backed by Nvidia and Naver, the project is expected to deliver 36MW of AI compute capacity by 2027.
97% of GCC Firms See Room for Global Expansion
Businesses and investors in Saudi Arabia and the UAE are holding to their medium-term expansion plans despite volatility in the Middle East, supported by intraregional supply chain shifts and wider AI adoption, according to an HSBC survey.
