Umesh Krishnappa is the CTO for Electric Vehicles at Royal Enfield, where he leads the company’s strategic push into the EV segment. With over 32 years of experience in electric mobility and automotive innovation, he is recognized as a pioneer in India’s EV landscape.

He was instrumental in developing the Mahindra e2o from concept to market and has held senior leadership roles at Ola Electric, Greaves Cotton (Ampere), and MTS Systems. His achievements include launching industry-first EV platforms, establishing green manufacturing plants, and embedding Six Sigma processes for operational excellence.

Krishnappa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. His work continues to shape the next generation of sustainable mobility.
