  • The UAE-based TASC Group, a recruiting and outsourcing company, announced the appointment of Jayajyoti Sengupta as the group’s Chief Executive Officer on Tuesday.

With a professional career spanning Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America, Sengupta brings over three decades of experience, focusing on value creation, business resilience, and long-term strategic partnerships.

He has held roles with leading global names, including TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and Virtusa, and holds a Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Additionally, Sengupta spent close to two decades with Cognizant, with his concluding role being that of the Managing Director, APAC (ANZ, Japan, ASEAN, China, India & Middle East).

Sengupta will take over from the founder and current CEO of TASC Group, Mahesh Shahdadpuri, who will be stepping up as the Executive Chairman of the Group.

The appointment comes as AI rapidly reshapes the outsourcing and managed services landscape. With Sengupta as CEO, TASC Group reinforces its commitment to scale business and enhance the delivery of AI-First, outcome-based solutions across the Middle East and newer markets.

“His deep expertise in AI-enabled, outcome-led partnerships strongly aligns with our vision and strengthens our impact across clients and businesses. We want to continue accelerating AI adoption, add significant value to our clients and fulfilling demand with intelligent and scalable managed services,” said Mahesh Shahdadpuri, Chairman, TASC Group.

Sengupta added, “TASC Group has built a strong reputation in the region, and as enterprises rethink their operating models, there is a clear opportunity to reimagine managed services through AI and automation. I look forward to working with the team to strengthen our capabilities, deepen client partnerships, and support organizations as they navigate the next phase of AI and operational transformation.”

The Group will look to increase its footprint as a Managed Services Provider (MSP) across both TASC and AIQU and respond to growing demand for flexible, AI-enabled managed services in the region.
