  • Snapchat users in Qatar are among the most engaged and digitally connected audiences in the Middle East, a new study by Snap Inc., and GWI reveals. The research highlights how the country’s users are not only active online but also shaping trends in content, lifestyle, and social interaction.

More than half of Snapchat users in Qatar create content or interact with branded posts every month. They are 33 percent more likely to click on sponsored content and 47 percent more likely to swipe up on stories than the regional average. The study gathered data in 2025 from daily and monthly Snapchat users, as well as non-users in Qatar, and compared it with other Gulf markets, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Snapchat users in Qatar are often part of higher-income groups, and are 25 percent more likely to belong to affluent households than users in other GCC countries. They also show strong community values, being 70 percent more likely to make monthly charitable donations, 14 percent more likely to gift electronics, and over twice as likely to give hampers compared with non-users.

Lifestyle and personal interests also play a key role in online engagement. Around 70 percent of Snapchatters follow health, fitness, and beauty content, and 80 percent describe themselves as fashion-conscious. More than 40 percent enjoy exploring local culture, including museums, traditional food, and heritage sites, combining digital habits with curiosity about local traditions.

The platform also attracts younger audiences. Snapchat users in Qatar are 38 percent more likely to belong to Generation Z and 16 percent more likely to be Millennials compared with other Gulf markets. The app is especially popular among Qatari nationals, with users in the country 316 percent more likely to be local citizens than on other social platforms.

Snapchat is also widely used for communication, content sharing, and social interaction in Saudi Arabia, where it has a large and active user base.
