  • The UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office has partnered with Google to launch “AI for All,” a nationwide initiative to build AI literacy across the country.

Announced during UAE Coding Day (UAE Codes 2025), the program will run through 2026, offering free AI education and training to people of all ages and professional backgrounds.

The initiative will ensure that every segment of society—students, educators, professionals, and entrepreneurs—can participate meaningfully in the UAE’s expanding AI-driven economy.

It will include a series of educational programs covering the fundamentals of AI, practical use cases, and responsible AI practices. Specialized workshops will guide learners on writing effective prompts for generative AI tools, improving productivity and creativity with AI, and understanding privacy and data protection.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), a central part of the UAE economy, will benefit from dedicated training modules showing how AI can support business growth and streamline operations. These sessions will focus on using AI to improve efficiency, customer engagement, and decision-making capabilities.

According to a 2025 report by Public First, generative AI could add up to over 80 billion USD to the UAE economy, underlining the importance of AI adoption and skills development. The “AI for All” initiative supports the UAE’s broader Vision 2031 goals, which seek to position the nation as an AI global hub.

Earlier this month, Google also announced 12 months of free access to its Gemini 2.5 model for university students across the UAE to make AI tools available for learning and experimentation. This follows Google’s 2018 launch of Maharat min Google, its Arabic-language learning platform focused on digital skills, which has already trained over 430,000 people in the UAE.

The new initiative builds on Google’s MENA AI Opportunity Initiative, announced last year, which aims to expand access to AI training, research support, and technology resources across the Middle East and North Africa by 2027.
