UAE telecom operator du has completed the migration of Dubai Taxi Company’s (DTC) core business systems to its sovereign cloud platform, a project the company says is the country’s first full-scale transfer of a transport operator’s mission-critical systems to a nationally hosted cloud environment.
The migration follows an agreement signed at GITEX Global 2025 and moves DTC’s digital operations onto du Tech’s National Hypercloud, built on Oracle Alloy technology and hosted entirely within the UAE. According to the companies, the project is designed to strengthen security, resilience, and scalability while meeting the country’s data sovereignty and regulatory requirements.
The National Hypercloud platform provides cloud computing, database services, and AI-ready infrastructure hosted within the UAE. By migrating its core business systems, DTC aims to support future digital services, analytics, and AI-driven operations while reducing reliance on infrastructure hosted outside the country.
The announcement reflects growing interest among government and government-linked organizations in sovereign cloud infrastructure as the UAE expands its local digital infrastructure to support AI adoption and to meet increasingly stringent data governance requirements.
Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Executive Officer of du, said the project demonstrates how sovereign cloud infrastructure can modernize mission-critical operations while maintaining compliance and performance. He added that the implementation could serve as a model for organizations in sectors such as mobility and logistics.
Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Taxi Company, said the migration strengthens the company’s digital infrastructure and supports its long-term smart mobility strategy by improving the security, resilience, and scalability of its technology platform.
