Saudi Arabia is integrating agentic AI into one of its core public data platforms to facilitate AI-based analysis in the public sector. The Ministry of Economy and Planning has introduced the beta version of INSAIGHTS, an agentic AI feature within the Data Saudi Platform. This allows users to query national economic and social datasets using natural language and obtain immediate analytics, insights, and data-driven answers.
The Data Saudi Platform serves as the Kingdom’s central repository for economic and social information. With INSAIGHTS, users can explore more than 7,500 indicators spanning multiple sectors without requiring advanced data analysis skills. Instead of navigating dashboards or manually compiling statistics, users can pose questions directly to the platform, which generates relevant analyses and insights.
For public-sector leaders, the launch illustrates how agentic AI is beginning to reshape decision support. Rather than functioning solely as a chatbot, the system is designed to interpret user intent, retrieve relevant data and synthesize findings into actionable responses, reducing the time and expertise required to analyze large public datasets.
The initiative also reinforces Saudi Arabia’s ambition to position data as a strategic national asset under Vision 2030. As ministries accumulate larger volumes of economic and social information, AI-powered interfaces are becoming essential for improving accessibility, transparency, and evidence-based policymaking.
The ministry said it will continue expanding INSAIGHTS’ capabilities over the coming months, adding new functionalities as the platform evolves.
The launch adds to a growing portfolio of AI-enabled government services in Saudi Arabia, highlighting how public institutions are increasingly using generative and agentic AI not merely to automate administrative tasks but to enhance policy analysis, economic planning, and public access to trusted national data.
