As nations race to secure strategic advantages in AI, the ability to develop and deploy AI infrastructure domestically has become a defining priority. In Qatar, that ambition is taking shape through a partnership between leading telecommunications provider Ooredoo and U.S.-based chipmaker Nvidia. Together, the companies are delivering cutting-edge AI cloud capabilities that promise to reshape the country’s digital economy and research landscape.

Ooredoo has unveiled a new suite of sovereign AI cloud services in Qatar, leveraging Nvidia’s latest Hopper GPU architecture and housed entirely within its domestic data centers. The initiative marks a major step in the country’s digital transformation and AI sovereignty goals.

By localizing advanced computing capabilities, Ooredoo aims to reduce reliance on international cloud providers while empowering sectors such as energy, finance, logistics, healthcare, and smart city development. The infrastructure offers customers high-speed access to AI processing power, secure data handling, and compliance with national data governance standards—all supported by low-latency, in-country infrastructure.

“We are proud to bring this world-class AI infrastructure to Qatar, equipping our customers with the tools they need to turn ambition into real-world solutions,” said Ooredoo Qatar CEO Sheikh Ali bin Jabor al-Thani. “Our collaboration with Nvidia paves the way for a new generation of innovation, empowering everyone from startups to government entities to benefit from the full potential of artificial intelligence, securely and efficiently. This, in turn, will fuel economic growth, upgrade citizen experiences, and cement Qatar’s position as a digital leader in the region.”

As an official Nvidia Cloud Partner (NCP), Ooredoo is offering clients access to Nvidia’s full suite of AI tools and software, including the Nvidia AI Enterprise platform. This platform streamlines the development, testing, and scaling of AI models from prototype to deployment.

From real-time financial analytics and intelligent logistics to AI-driven customer service, teams will be able to build and operate solutions using global-standard tools hosted securely within Ooredoo’s infrastructure. These mission-critical facilities are managed by Syntys and designed specifically for high-performance computing workloads.

The deployment aligns with the objectives of Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030 and the Qatar National AI Strategy, which emphasize localized infrastructure and the ethical development of AI technologies to benefit the wider economy and society.

With this launch, Ooredoo is reaffirming its position as a central player in Qatar’s digital ecosystem—providing the foundational technologies that will power the country’s AI-driven future.
