Manish Gupta is chief technology officer at IBM India and is known for his work in supercomputing, artificial intelligence, and enterprise software. He has co-authored over 70 research papers, holds 19 US patents, and led software development for IBM’s Blue Gene/L supercomputer.
He has served in key leadership positions at IBM including director of IBM Research India and chief technologist for South Asia. His earlier research and engineering work has helped shape the company’s innovation in high-performance computing.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from IIT Delhi, a master’s from Ohio State University, and a PhD in computer science from the University of Illinois. He is a fellow of both the ACM and the Indian National Academy of Engineering.
